Well that’s a problem, someone deemed them non-essential and they are essential.
For 75 years, every time any U.S. state has requested epidemiologic assistance (an “Epi-Aid”), CDC sent disease detectives. Now, Wisconsin has asked for help to address newly discovered lead poisoning in Milwaukee. But all CDC experts in lead poisoning were just fired.

What’s missing from this article is the fact new suburbs have to be connected to services, taxes help ensure they are not waste lands with no schools, transport of service hubs #politas

Which ever way you look the public service is under attack, Trump, Dutton and Rockliff. Here in Australia cutting the public service to fund corporate welfare and electoral hand outs prior to an election. In reality, cuts to the public service just cost shift to ordinary Aussie’s #auspol

Hear hear we must position Parks as the primary resource for hiking information. Otherwise we will see the instagram effect lead inexperienced walkers into dangerous places. Our parks are so central to our tourist experience yet we fail to adequately invest in them.

Nice for Bill Shorten to attend the ALP Tassie Chrissy drinks, great speech. Might not have made it to PM but the legacy of the NDIS is something to be proud of. Needs a bit of work to include those with #nuerodiversity but what a baseline to work from.

Well behind best practice for protecting whistleblowers, no one wants to be a whistleblower but democracy is undermined if we don’t support whistleblowers.
Australia’s treatment of whistleblowers is downright dystopian. Heroes like Richard Boyle and David McBride face jail for exposing the truth, while billionaires and corporations dodge accountability. We need to do better. #auspol #RichardBoyle #DavidMcBride
