In one of the coldest big cities on the planet--Winnipeg, Manitoba-- there are still veggies growing in my garden in late November.
Yet the Liberal gov in Canada is investing our future in big oil expansion.

Billie Eilish asked an important question: "If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?"

There are FIVE ways to accumulate a billion dollars:

1) Profiting from a monopoly
2) Insider-trading
3) Political payoffs
4) Fraud
5) Inheritance

Billionaires are the result of a failed system.

I bike past this block every day and it’s the *perfect* spot for more housing. I hope this can be resolved.

Don't know what to do at this point. Other than laugh at suffering of political leaders when this happens. Only solace I have.

At this rate, it will take the world 4 yrs to pass 1.5-degree threshold that experts would constitute catastrophic warming.

This is what Costco could be doing in Winnipeg instead of moving to Headingley
This breaks some people’s brains.

In most cities, Costco stores fuel sprawl & car dependency.

In Vancouver, our full-sized downtown Costco has residential towers above & a skytrain station next door. LOTS of customers don’t drive to it.

We live a block from it. We call it “the convenience store.”
