100% concur with the following statements.
I say it a lot, but if you want to make an immediate impact get involved in local politics, especially if you're in a smaller community. Attend a planning board meeting. Run for town meeting. Meet with town employees. You can *actually* change things and make your community better.
I really can't emphasize enough that if you care about local politics, all you gotta do is show up. Just a regular schmegular person showing up. Literally just show up consistently in person and within a remarkably short amount of time, you will have a shocking amount of influence.

Good job, Ohio! Having taught high school for years, this was always a problem with several of my students. Kroger, mostly, seemed to stretch or even ignore labor laws. Also exploited children employees as soon as they turned 18. Even tho still in school
Calling and emailing works!
A BIG WIN 🎉🎉

Governor DeWine listened to your calls and VETOED the bill that would weaken child labor laws ( #Ohio SB 50 )!!

Which parents are the ones who get "parental rights?" In Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District (OH), it's those who want to ban books featuring any "sexuality content" or "gender ideology." Inside the school board's educationally-destructive new policy:

I concur.
The thing about Rand Paul I’m ok with is he literally does not care what anyone thinks of his policies

The thing I don’t like about Rand Paul are most of his policies

“Well, let’s just agree to disagree then…”
One of my favorite social media redundancies is when people respond to a list of facts with, “I disagree!”

Ma’am and sirs — Mirs, if you will — that isn’t how anything works. You cannot “disagree” with the color of the sky or a timestamped event.

We are focused on local and state politics. But our local duties, and possibly eventually our lives, are in dire jeopardy at this moment in American history.

This is the line in the sand:

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

POLITICAL EXECUTIONS ARE THE END OF OUR COUNTRY AS WE KNOW IT.
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

A new survey finds that walkability commands price premiums.

"Those living in walkable communities also reported being happier -- perhaps a result of less gas fumes and gridlock, more fresh air and exercise, and the ability to wave and say howdy to your neighbor."

Did you know Tennessee’s governor Bill Lee is the heir to an HVAC empire?

Can we PLEASE get some clean air in the classrooms, Mr. CEO of Lee Company? You can even give yourself the contract 😉 (we know your type)
Installing air filters in classrooms has surprisingly large educational benefits
$1,000 can raise a class’s test scores by as much as cutting class size by a third.
