I've started the first of the 2 hoops! Silk thread is so interesting to work with. It's so smooth and goes through the fabric so nicely. It does however get fuzzy quicker than cotton thread so you need to work with shorter strands like with metallic thread.

this kit is terrible though I do not recommend 😭😭 the "instructions" are wrong and the supplies dont match what they tell you to use 😭😭 it does come with lots of extras so at least theres that

Finished my first embroidery project (pattern from @badasscrossstitch.bsky.social).
This was fun. I got used to the stitches as I went along, listened to them and let them boss me around. As someone who can have a perfectionism problem, it was good for me to let things be a little imperfect.

Today I made a smaller piece to try out a fabric marker that disappears as soon as it gets wet. So much better than the printable embroidery paper. could have saved me some tears, time and money if I had tried this first....
