I’ve been reading people arguing that the tariffs will bring manufacturing back to the US and it will be good. That is what strategic tariffs are used for.

How do you know Elon has more leverage on Trump than just the money he gave? Trump controls Elon’s livelihood.
If Trump wanted to end all the govt contracts Elon has, he could. He could also reinstate all the investigations too.
He has the power to crush Elon but certainly isn’t acting like it.

I don’t think enough attention is being paid to the budget deadline. They’re not going to pass a budget or CR. They’re going to run the govt by picking and choosing what to pay for and cutting the rest. The coup will put into hyperdrive in less than a month.

Not to sour on the great story of the DOJ lawyers quitting to maintain integrity but losing people at the top of Public Integrity unit may not end well. If they’re going to weaponize the government against political enemies, this is probably where they will do it and they now have a cleaner path.
