On 16 July 1936, following a decree issued by the Reich Interior Minister Wilhelm Frick for ‘Combating the Gypsy Plague’, 600 Roma and Sinti living in Berlin were arrested and taken to the Marzahn detention camp.

In March 1943, Regina Barsam avoided the deportation of 50,000 Jews from Lwów to Belzec by escaping with a Polish student's passport, stolen for her by a friend.

Lady Jane Grey's trial occurred so early in Mary I's reign that a Great Seal for Mary hadn't yet been made. As such, the trial records use Edward VI's seal instead. [TNA KB 8/23]
