Refugee from the other place. I occasionally wander down from the mountains to go to court. Criminal defense. Appeals. Prosecutors are the sith. Oh, and wtf is wrong with our country?
Anytime I see people in my profession parroting R talking points I know tthey’re either (1) bad at the job or (2) don’t give a shit about their clients. You can’t support a party that uses the government to hurt, starve, and terrorize people and then say you passionately fight the government.

Calling it now. Either republicans will panic and change course after yesterday’s shellacking or they’re going to refuse to budge and the government will be shut down until the midterms.

You have to wonder if Usha sees it coming or not.

She can’t be that blind- right?

Oh @southwestairlines.bsky.social you really want to be one of the big airlines- but you fail so hard. My flight was delayed. I realized this because my plane isn’t here yet. No text from you. No email. No nothing. The only places to find out it’s delayed are the app- and the seats at the gate.

Anyone here do real estate law in California?

I need to quit buying things that are pre-order, MTO, advanced sales, etc. My luck with the wait on such things is currently hilariously bad. I’m typically pretty good at waiting in a queue but this is “not the kind of anticipation I enjoy.”

JD Vance is this century’s Joseph McCarthy.

Except America is a lot stupider now.

My morning coffee is the only thing standing between me and absolutely losing my shit on several people. It’s a very thin line right now. P

“Timing is the difference between a dopamine hit and a mega rant.”

Ain’t that the f***ing truth.

Doing a rewatch of the Boys and I’ve got two observations:
1) the Trump/Repub parallels are STRONG (especially in S3)

2) the most emotional part of the show for me is Frenchie and Kimiko’s journey. They deserve a happy ending together more than anyone else.

I’m taking a mental break to bask in nostalgia. By that I mean I’m drinking Mountain Dew and watching new episodes of twisted metal. I’ll return to adulting in a few hours.

So how long until Ken Paxton tries to sue New York and California to try and stop their redistricting? And from 1 to “absolute malpractice” how bad do you think his legal argument is going to be that “Texas can do it but they cant”?

I’m trying my best not to turn into an absolute ball of rage right now but-
1) have to deal with a neighbor issue
2) a different neighbor has a cement truck, dump truck, and large work crew out so the dogs are losing their minds, I left the house.
3) Safelite, who just took a bunch of my money-

Yall, I know the election fraud news is a big deal but it’s also a red herring. Don’t let it distract you from Epstein. Don’t let that turn just blow over. Republicans are infighting because of it- don’t let it move to the background.

Went to a general admission concert tonight and realized that my social energy is kind of at an all time low. No, I don’t want to be around a bunch of drunk people screaming at each other over loud noise. I don’t know whether I’m getting old or if my “internal noise” is more than enough these days.

That was one of the roughest episodes of television I’ve ever watched. That’ll definitely end up on those IMDB lists and Reddit discussions- you know the ones I’m talking about.

The thought of Ken Paxton in the senate is absolutely terrifying. Hell, a decade ago Cornyn was considered one of the most hardline conservatives. Now they think he’s a RINO?

Manufacturing jobs are never coming back to the US. Companies either can’t afford to or don’t want to pay what they’d have to pay US workers. Your average person can’t afford to pay for only US made goods.

This is what real democratic leadership looks like. Pritzker/Beshear 2028? Please?
There are trans Americans right now looking out at this world and wondering if anyone is going to stand up for them and for their simple right to exist.

Well, I am. We are. We will.

Country music, shiner, and a few games of pool with my brother. Sometimes this is just what my soul needs.

It’s near midnight and I’m up late working. My YouTube mix just played a song I haven’t heard in a while and I’m now crying. It’s the song that played at my grandfather’s funeral. I wish he was around to know I named my son after him and that I do what I do because of the example he set.

Don't be afraid to call things by what they are. MAGA is a terrorist organization, ICE is a secret police force conducting Ethnic Cleansing, Elon Musk is an oligarch, and Trump is a foreign backed coup d'état figurehead. This is not an administration, this is a regime, and your country is occupied.
