An amazing review of our game #BeyondShadowgate from last year by Dennis Fleaman of @retrolike.bsky.social

I get chocked up when I read flattering reviews of our games, cause I love sharing my passion for #RetroGames, #PointAndClickAdventure games, and #Shadowgate

This is a true story - that’s a coffee shop napkin that I still have in my papers from the Beyond Shadowgate development. Grahf’s art brought the scenario to life. Was always fun to see his polished version of the initial idea.
When making #BeyondShadowgate, writer @thechrism.bsky.social would sometimes send me pics of his literal napkin doodles to show me his ideas as inspiration struck

Anyone who is a fan of Beyond Shadowgate 2024 - despite numerous edits, @Wikipedia still has this as their page. I’ve been told by the community that someone is gatekeeping, saying we are advertising. Please help us

This is pretty neat
Hallowe'en post #25:
*SPOILER WARNING*
The Ghost Lady from Uninvited (NES, 1991) and Beyond Shadowgate (PC, 2024).
Isn't it neat how Beyond Shadowgate sets up the events of Uninvited?
Here's my unboxing and review of Beyond Shadowgate:

Genuinely curious - indie devs who sold over 1000 copies - what was your most effective marketing tool, and why? What can you say, with certainty, drew numbers to your game?

Do video games and Higher Education support one another?

Beyond Shadowgate was discussed as an example of excellence in the Adventure game genre at a top 30 public university.

We are grateful for the opportunity to help teach aspiring game creators.

The box art for Beyond Shadowgate [2024] was drawn by the late, great Stephen Peringer.

He was the artist who gave us the iconic box art for the NES ports of Shadowgate and Deja Vu, among MANY other game covers.

He sadly passed away last year, but his legacy lives on through his legenday art.

Tokyo game show goers can try playing Beyond Shadowgate using only hand gestures - we are exclusively demoing Neural Lab’s AirTouch technology at TGS. Here’s a video of it in action.

Thanks to @vgmaps.bsky.social for pushing Broken Relic across the finish line! Let’s help another indie adventure dev reach their stretch goals so they can make it to the Switch! (1 and 2, hopefully 😏)
I was the one who pushed Broken Relic's funding over 100% (and will be a voiced NPC!) but now it also needs to hit its stretch goals so that it comes to mobile and Switch!

I've always wanted to be in a game on a Nintendo platform.

I just learned about a rare death in the Uninvited computer version found by Mr. miazma posted in the Steam discussion - you can get hit by lightning. Who knew about this?

Probably Shadowgate news in 3 days or so. Maybe. Don’t quote me.
