This morning we went out for breakfast, then walked through a cute little neighborhood to a cafe to get some coffee beans then went on to do groceries. It was a good walk. The weather was cold but not so much as to leach the joy out of the walk.

I'm thinking about the trope of the "Crazy Russian" and I wonder if there was a similar trope on the other side of the old Iron Curtain for "Crazy Americans"?

FWIW- I had a lot of fun with Badlands. It's a good sci-fi actioner. The suit looks really good and it cares just enough about the lore to be flavour for us nerds, but not so much that there's homework.
I do recommend it if that sort of thing is your jam.
