The Ascent by @ronaldmalfi.bsky.social. There is something in the way he constructs the sentences and how he guides you through the landscape. How he navigates you through this hell of a journey. A tale of loss and holding on to something, that is forever out of reach. This one personally, hit hard.

I just DNF’d 2 books. Fingers crossed for book nr 3. Sometimes I don’t have any chill with a book. Like, if I notice a certain pattern in the writing, that takes me out of it. I tried, but no thank you

Just finished The Queen of Bedlam by @robertmccammon.com. I fell in love with the first book and this one did not disappoint. An absolutely amazing series. I’ve only read two books, but already this is like magic in writing for me. Every page is just, a thrill to explore. I’m hooked and I love it.

Just finished We Men of Ash and Shadow by @hollytinsl3y.bsky.social. What a book. I loved it. It does not hold anything back. It will stare you right in the eyes and kick you where it hurts. Raw and brutal at times, but also with a heart that keeps on beating. It had me hooked from the start.

Just finished Dark Theory by @wickwelker.bsky.social. This book took me by surprise and at about 800 pages, it took also some extra time to get through. But I loved every page and every single time I entered that world. This book has layers. Things kept unfolding, until the very last page. Recommend

Just finished - Oath Broken by Jarryd Smith. An urban fantasy, that if you’re used to reading Dresden or the Eric Carter series, you should be right at home. A fast and easy read, full of ghosts, magic and zombies. Not to mention vampires. Take a bite out of this one

Just finished reading - Forsaken Kingdom by J.R. Rasmussen. This book took my by surprise on how it felt fresh, yet familiar. A fantasy with a nice pinch of magic to keep it going, to the last page. If you want a read, that’s not too heavy. But just enough. Give this one a try

Finished - Rites of Passage (Inner Circle) by @mdpresley.bsky.social. Show me a book about a mystery house and some magic, then you have my attention. Feel like you’re going round in cicles? Don’t get lost in this maze. Or maybe, yes? Not been backstabbed by your best friend yet? read this book

Finished - The Night Parade by @ronaldmalfi.bsky.social. I loved this book. Malfi is an auto-buy author for me. His writing is so alive and fresh. So wonderfully building in its imagery, that it grips your heart and doesn’t let go. And you don’t want it to. Highly recommend.
