Here is a list of reasons why some of my hearings and trials this year have been delayed and kicked off into the long grass, stuck in our record court backlog. Serious allegations which will now be tried *years* after the event. 🧵👇

This album is so incredible, the music so well-constructed and beautifully played, that I am starting off my show, Classical Connections, with a movement. Always great to play more Chineke! on the show, and I am hoping listeners will forgive a bit of jazz. ☺️

Either the Vaughan Williams biopic I have in my head, or a series of films like the new Beatles quartet, but it's about the Big Three leaders during the Versailles Peace Conference.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

This was madness when the SNP tried to do it in Scotland. It would be double madness for Labour to try it in England and Wales.

The South West must be heard in this Budget.

That's why we South West @libdems.org.uk MPs went to the Treasury yesterday to outline what we want to see in this Budget to support our region.

The Government cannot ignore the serious issues we’re raising - it’s time they listen and deliver.

The only way to raise serious revenue is to raise a tax which everybody pays. Raising a tax which someone else pays rarely raises the revenue needed and creates endless pressure from special interest groups. Compare and contrast Mr Osborne's 2 1/2% VAT increase with his pasty tax. #omnishambles

Nothing disappoints harder than a stone circle. The way people bang on about them you'd think they would be at least an interesting experience, preferably an emotional one. They're neither.

They should have advertised who everyone was playing for, throughout. Popped it under their names everytime they were in the diary room.

The opportunity for tens and tens and tens of millions of pounds of free advertising for charities, totally wasted #CelebrityTraitors
I mean the BBC should do a nominal donation to all the charities tbf #CelebrityTraitors

It's an insane "scandal". Even noted communist Agatha Christie used this version of aunt!
I think it only counts as a scandal if you're a left-wing Muslim. Trump and his accolytes can say whatever they like.
i cannot believe that “mamdani calls a close adult relative an ‘aunt’ even if they are not literally their parent’s sister” is what counts as a “scandal” these days

I think this is absolutely right. Also, so many of these guys do actually understand that 'a mixed-race family in an advert' is there to sell people things. They absolutely cannot stand that some minorities are successful. It is resentment all the way down.
Think one of the key things why adverts are such a thing with them is that people in ads are usually enjoying themselves and having a nice life; seeing non-white people be happy is something that drives your typical racist absolutely mad
Something I can't get over with the Sarah Pochin comments is that it's not just racist, it's also pathetic? Like oh wittle Sarah doesn't like the wittle adverts is it? Get a grip, you're a grown woman and member of parliament, stop being a snowflake and find a real problem to deal with

This is absolutely wild, @johnsweeneyroar.bsky.social filmed Robinson with a Hitler appreciation society in Germany for Panorama, a film that was never shown. He has openly expressed antisemitic views.
This Israeli government decision to host Tommy Robinson will widen the growing gulf between the Netanyahu government and the British public, including the broad majority of Jews in Britain (3/4 of whom dsapproved of Netanyahu, before this new link to this anti-Muslim racist UK far right convict).

It would be really good to see MRP versions of the preferred PM polling that we've seen showing Davey ahead against Farage - it would give LDs a sense of where there is potential electoral upside in a fight against Farage.
There are a several ways in which this was the right speech for Ed Davey to give in September 2025, after this political summer.

But there is one major challenge: this central pivot - 'So it comes down to us. Or Nigel Farage' - is something the party will like to hear. But this is not likely at all
