Do you know how many parents are VERY comfortable telling you that they hated history class as a kid? Because it's my understanding that we're second in this realm but it's a wide gap to first place, math.
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

Might’ve just stumbled across an “aging parents” strategy. There are a bunch of things in my parent’s pantry they need to get rid of. So I just asked if I could have the fondue pot.
