A random waterfall that we stumbled across, im not too sure which waterfall this is… A lake in front of Jokulsarlon, one of the biggest glacier tongues in iceland Our trusty SangYeong rental car. Was pretty reliable throughout the trip, thru snowstorms and floods 🫡 Just a landscape that we stopped for because the light was so beautiful. I can’t even capture on photo how amazing it was

One of the blue ice caves all over the glacier jokulsarlon in iceland! Christ, as an apsc user this was so hard to capture. I had no ibis and my aperture was 1.6x what it was supposed to be. So it went from f2.8 to f4 so i was using shutter speed of 1/25 to 1.2s and my iso never went below 3600 😭 The aurora with the moon in the background. I took this pic during an insane aurora storm at Höfn. I have many more pics but BS obv doesnt let me post them all Vestrahorn, the absolute massive mountain and the beach below it. If you zoom in enough, you can maybe see my sister there A piece of ice from the nearby glacier washed up on the famous Diamond Beach in iceland.

Day 12 of the Europe trip: Ive actually lost count and backlog and im technically posting this on day 13 😬 but eh ive gone this deep already

So here are the pics from “today”
Some photographers and tourists in front of famous waterfall, Skógafoss A couple on the Reynisfjara Beach with the rocks, Reynisfjall, behind them and the setting sun as well Skógasfoss, Iceland Climbed up MANY steep steps to get to the top of the Skógafoss waterfall to see this view. But it was absolutely worth it 👍

THE AURORA!! Second time seeing it this active ever and i finally have understanding of a camera to take nice pics this time. Drove out abt 20ish mins outside of town to a place with no light pollution to see it as bright as possible.

Day 11 of the Europe trip: Clear Skies in Iceland for the first time. Went down from Reykjavík to Vík and saw some absolutely stunning views. Aurora Hunting was AMAZING and worked out absolutely spectacularly. But i haven’t edited those yet, so here some other pics first #iceland #photography
My mum and my sis standing in front of Gljúfrabúi, one of the many waterfalls between Reykjavík and Vík and along the southern coast. I wanted to try and get a pic inside or behind it but couldn’t cause it was so slippery. It was so bad my shoe spikes actually broke and now I don’t have any more spikes HHAHAHA The Vík i Mydral Church. Got this shot out the window of my car as we were entering into Vík itself. Lovely 3pm sunset on it to cast a beautiful orange on the front of the church. A truck in the snow with the sunrise coming thru and shining on the snow capped mountains. Also taken out of the open window of my car Some mountain ranges along the highway to Vík. Also once again taken out of the window of my car while doing 90-100kph (55-60mph for yall freedom guys 🦅🦅🦅)

Day 10 of the Europe Trip: Went from Reykjavík all the way up to the Snæfelles Peninsula to see Kirkjufell and Búðakirkja. The road conditions were so snowy and my first time driving in snow. Hella scary. #iceland #photography #landscapephotography
Búðakirkja or the Black Church of Budir is a replica church built in 1848 based of the original one built back in 1703. Its exterior is covered in pitch, an old method of protecting wooden structures from the harsh weather conditions in Iceland. I photographed the church here in the middle of a snow storm hence the dark gray colours in the background. I tried to edit the photo to look kinda monochromatic to make it really pop. Over here are some horse with mountains as the backdrop that I captured on the way from Reykjavík to Kirkjufell. I basically just stuck my camera out the moving car and snapped a bunch of pics and came up with this This is Kirkjufell in the Snæfelles Peninsula. Not much of the mountain could be seen due to harsh snow conditions. Pictured also is my mother and sister playing in the snow in front of the mountain Mountains I saw along the way from Reykjavík to Snæfelles Peninsula. I have no idea which mountains these are 😅

Day 9 of the Europe trip: Finally seen the Aurora lights but was a very very weak version of them. My saturation is at an all time high to bring out those colours.

Tried going out to Kirkjufell as well but there was some blockage preventing us so we ending up going back instead
A small cat I saw in downtown Reykjavík. I do not know his name but he is very friendly and has a glass eye as well AURORA!! The pic was taken down by the Grótta Lighthouse at the peak of Reykjavík. I think the setting were 10s f2.8 iso 1600-2000? One of the few clearer days where the aurora could be seen but the lights were not as bright as i hope A small house/shack next to the Grótta Lighthouse. Took a nice long exposure as well to see it as well. Behind it you can see the volcanic eruption all the way down by Grindavík. I wanna go check it out but alot of the roads are closed due to it A small farmhouse along the highway back to Reykjavik from Kirkjufell. Since i wasn’t driving the car, I kinda just stuck my camera out the window every once in a while to capture the mountains and scenery. Out of all of the pics from that, I think this one is my favourite. Really showing that sense of scale of that huge ass mountain

Day 8 of the Europe trip. Still haven’t moved from Reykjavik just yet but the clouds and all cleared up so J was able to see the mountains and all

I also tried Aurora hunting as today was a good day without clouds to try and see em but they were very weak

Y'know what I like most about Bluesky? Content here actually has substance without all the mindless engagement farming to make money. I will always say that monetizing social media was a mistake - it leads to quantity over quality. Here, it's just cool art and science people are doing. 💙
