Architect/Theologian/Gospel of John junkie. Designer by trade. I specialize in John’s use of Torah. Currently writing 👉Architect of Creation: the Creator’s Walk in the Gospel of St. John 📜
It is difficult to know what to be on social for these days. The past two years, my attention has been in the book I am writing: #ArchitectofCreation, which is a book interpreting the gospel of St. John through its design. Contemplating posting nuggets I’ve learned along the way.

She is saying, in effect: "We are going to liberate the city from its democratically elected leadership using the military"
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!

Noem’s Goons crossed the reddest of red lines by attacking and handcuffing a U.S. Senator. In times past Senators of both parties would have rallied behind their fellow Senator and called Noem and her henchmen into the Senate to demand their resignations. MAGA Senators will do nothing.

Today they have crossed a deep red line.

We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

The gaslighting here is off the charts.

With a quiet, moderated voice, measured cadence, and downcast eyes, Johnson will gladly facilitate the disintegration of our government.
House Speaker Mike Johnson calls for the Senate to "censure" Alex Padilla after he was restrained and handcuffed by FBI agents at Kristi Noem's presser, adding that it is "wildly inappropriate behavior."

So it looks like Republicans want to escalate this!

If this is how this administration responds to a Senator with a question, you can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, and to day laborers throughout California and across the country.

We will hold this administration accountable.

An excerpt on Pentecost from my book in progress:

Makes me think of the Rabbinic observation that the word Emet holds the extremities of the Creation Week Poem. The deceiver wants to create a world for his victim, an island of self-validated truth, but God already created humanity with an “Us” of solidarity (Gen. 1:27). Emet will outlast the island

BREAKING: Police just surrounded Rev. William Barber, prominent activist and pastor, as he and others prayed in the U.S. Capitol Rontunda.

Police then expelled everyone (including press!) from the Rotunda to (presumably) arrest them.

I've covered protests here a lot. Never seen anything like it.

Q: "How do you respond to Governor Newsom?"

Sen. Van Hollen: "I think Americans are tired of elected officials or politicians who are all finger to the wind...Anybody who can't stand up for the Constitution and the right of due process doesn't deserve to lead."

The President of the United States is openly threatening to send American citizens to foreign gulags.

As he defies the Supreme Court, undermines due process rights, and orders the DOJ to investigate political opponents, we are witnessing the sprint to autocracy right before our eyes.
Trump to Bukele: "Home-growns are next. The home-growns. You gotta build about five more places. It's not big enough."

Here is the situation if I’m understanding it correctly:

1. They are deporting lawful immigrants erroneously to prisons overseas

2. They are claiming no recourse to return these individuals

3. They say they are open to deporting citizens in the same way

Okay now Sens. Cory Booker and Chris Coons (a Yale Divinity School grad) are literally just having a lengthy discussion of scripture and the Bible on the Senate floor right now.

Religious left: still a thing.

Take a moment today to read about a few of the young children whom Trump and Musk killed by shutting down USAID. The blame for these deaths falls on them.

There will be hundreds of thousands more dead kids before their lethal crusade against foreign aid ends. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

So the term “wabi-sabi” came about an interesting way. “…they appear to fill a gap in the Western vocabulary for talking about art and life – a leaning away from perfection, completion and excess, and a yearning toward leaving something undone, broken or unsaid.”

theconversation.com/what-is-the-...
What is the Japanese ‘wabi-sabi’ aesthetic actually about? ‘Miserable tea’ and loneliness, for starters
‘Wabi’ and ‘sabi’ are Japanese words with long histories, but they are rarely used together in the way Western designers have come to use the term.
