The SNAP program feeds hungry people, mostly children as I understand it. Are we at a point in time in our country when saving a multimillionaire some money on taxes is more important than feeding a hungry child I hope not.

Either the Constitution means something or it doesn’t. The emoluments clause is straight forward and unambiguous. Previous presidents have turned down pens because it violated the constitution. Either he refuses the jet or he must be impeached. If he isn’t the Constitution is valueless

I like western movies and tv shows. Growing up I always felt that it was the quintessential American story. A person, usually a loner, with his own flaws, saw someone, an Indian, a black person, a woman being bullied and against great odds was not going to stand for it.

When the AP was barred from telling the truth all the other main news organizations should have boycotted the White House. When the federal employees started being purged by President Musk all the unions in this country, public and private should have called a general strike.

I’m old. Old enough to remember that in 1977 when the Iranians took captive members of the US embassy, the Canadian ambassador hid US workers at his own peril. They have been our friends forever. So short sided. Even if he”wins”, Canada will remember this. And they should.
