I haven't been able to visit the twins today, but Salt has been giving me updates. (Flower said their names were Forrest and Leafy Jr. but didn't specify which one is which.)

When we found them, they were drowning and their stems were damaged by the seawater. Salt was so sure one of them was going to die that she performed emergency separation surgery.

I can't bear to hurt her. I feel like I have to protect her. Is it wrong to hide some of the truth if it gives her hope, even if it only lasts until she comes to see them? I feel so guilty either way!
I know I should tell Flower the truth about how her twins are doing, but she's already in such a rough state. Besides, they really might make a full recovery, Salt doesn't know for sure what will happen yet.

Today's been a blur.
From what I've heard, two little ones, conjoined twins, washed up on the beach and nobody could find their parents. No wonder there was such a crowd, thank goodness we were able to get them to Salt safely after such a horrible accident!
