the main reason i don’t argue with people about voting on the internet is that if you don’t feel any particular obligation to exercise your right to self-government — if you don’t see it as simply a fundamental task of citizenship — then there’s nothing i can say to persuade you otherwise

If you are still on speaking terms with MAGA family or friends, the time for a hard conversation is BEFORE they vote for an actual holocaust. Whatever the outcome, at least you weren't silent and at least someone told them.
