Unpopular Flight Opinion:

Your giant roller bag "carry-on" that takes up 2-3 seats of overhead storage is poor traveling on your part. Check that shit, cuz I am tired of you in my way. You are an inconvenience to everyone on your flight. Travel lighter, everyone!

First visit to Banff, Alberta. The whole place is like a giant ski chalet. Probably the cleanest town I've ever been to.

Don’t only gerrymander “if Republicans do it in Texas.”

What are you, stupid? How much more fucking evidence do you need, shit for brains? They’re doing that and so, so much more.

Go scorched Earth on these fascists or go fuck yourself.

There are reportedly 7 ICE agents in Juneau now. If that is true, now is a good time to familiarize ourselves with this:

Regardless of your immigration status, you have guaranteed rights under the Constitution. Learn more here about your rights as an immigrant, and how to express them.

***JUNEAU - HIGH ALERT***

7 ICE "agents" reportedly checked into a downtown hotel today.

Plain clothes
Unmarked cars - one is a silver corolla.

They are going to blend right into the tourism chaos downtown.

Protect your friends, family, and neighbors.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!!!

In Kodiak, the largest community currently under a tsunami, warning, KMXT public radio is the most valuable source for information about what’s happening in the community and for emergency information relayed by city officials. #Alaska
While the U.S. Senate is voting to defund public broadcasting ... my colleagues at rural Alaska public radio stations are scrambling to help coastal residents understand the tsunami danger from a 6.6 mag earthquake that struck minutes ago in Sand Point/Aleutians East.

Let’s talk about weather balloons—a.k.a. radiosondes—and why recent cuts to NWS staffing and balloon launch schedules are putting the public at risk (eg., Deaths in Texas). No satellite or model can replace what these humble balloons do. Here's why. 🧵

I met Lisa Murkowski and her family nearly 20 years ago, on the 4th of July, as they finished hiking the Chilkoot Trail. A pleasant experience.

Like all successful Chilkoot hikers, they all smelled horribly, clearly needing a shower.

Nothing stinks of shit more than her vote. We deserve better.
For years, Lisa Murkowski has survived by sitting on the fence, alternately tossing red meat onto one side, then the other.

Well today, the fence broke.

Any other Juneau folks catch this? I don't know who this lady is but good on her!

I got to spend an afternoon with my grandmother before she passed. Her dementia was deep, but every once in a while she would crack a genuine smile as we talked. I'll have that as long as I can remember it!
I got permission to share this, and I'm extremely grateful for that.

The Onion got this letter from one of our subscribers in Alaska. She works with dementia patients and decided to leave a copy in the car for each one.

This email made my year. Read it and you'll see what I mean. People are good.

Just an FYI: Medicaid fraud is rarely perpetrated by beneficiaries. The fraudsters are almost always the doctors and CEO's that administer Medicaid. For example: when a doctor charges the government $600 for an $8 breast pump and pockets the cash and the third party administrator takes a cut.
