Anyone else mix salad dressings? My current mix is chunky blue cheese with just a touch of French. Creamy, tangy, and just a bit sweet. The perfect combination. #lunch #salad #food

New bud leaves rise in green mist smoke trickle from still cold ground to grey blue skies as percussion beat of woodpeckers beak gives rhythm to dancing bird songs. Dirt breaking underfoot replaces winter static scent with rich tabacco rot. #midwest #spring #poetry

Sometimes you discover how much you believe in something because of how horrible the people who oppose it are.

#midcenturymodern seems like a very funny but slightly less gay version of Golden Girls. I think I'm in love.

Read this in a comment today. "Five antique dealers were stuck on a deserted Island. They all made a living." Couldn't stop laughing. #thrifting #reselling #ebay

Delicate new green flashes bright against brown forest floor leaves, snake twists fast fleeing approaching footsteps. Subtle promise of spring shouts joy to winter frozen heart. #dailypoem

Schumer's decision to back down is a perfect example of how and why current Democratic leadership is completely incapable of standing up to Trump and MAGA Standing against tyranny requires leaders who are principled and brave, rather than worried about perception. #resist #senatedemocrats #shutdown

Black lace branches of winter stripped trees stand in straight line circles against sunsets last smear of violet purple blue technicolor twilight. A small and beautiful death whose late hour hints at new life soon arriving.

Yesterday: Cleaned and repaired childhood desk, chili lunch with friends, very cool ride in a friend's very small plane, dog park, work, rebuilt computer, cleaned out rats nest of cords and cables, purged multiple boxes of crap.
Today: Get a donut, maybe? 😁

Yeah, I think he almost has more fun here at the dog park when it's just the two of us.

I'm starting to realize that maybe I want Alex to socialize with other dogs more than he wants too. He likes other dogs, but he gets so excited when it's just the two of us at the dog park or exploring the trails.

Even when there is no one else there, it's still his favorite place.

And this would be why I have to constantly check and make sure the bathroom faucet is turned off. In other news, after 10 years of refusing to eat solid wet food, he now apparently loves it.

My version of a "picture of the kids". It's rare that I can actually get them both to look at the camera at the same time while cuddling together. Most of the time one of them will hop up to see what I'm doing.

That awesome feeling when you hear the words "Chapter One" in the latest 27 hour long audiobook in one of your favorite series. 😁 #litrpg

Alexa just played a reminder for me. That reminder? "Steak". Nope, not a frigging clue what it means. Sometimes I think past me is just playing practical jokes on current me.

A guy at the dog park yesterday said that Alex was the happiest dog he had ever met. One of the nicest indirect compliments I've received in a long time.
