Other way round. Trump is the face, the puppet - he will take the fall.

Elon, world’s richest man, who is actively working to install far right regimes all over the world, will make a swift exit with his newly coded “back door” to the treasury intact.

He’ll rob us & leave us with Vance or worse

If you are wanting to stay on Meta. Here is a great article on how to limit them monetizing your account. Also Do not buy any products from Mets advertisements.
Mad at Meta? Don't Let Them Collect and Monetize Your Personal Data

Torn between moving my #socialmedia presence over to BlueSky & maybe Tumblr, in protest of Meta & encouraging my ppl to do same

Or maintain a presence on both to reach friends, family, & others who haven’t made the switch yet, & try to encourage people to think critically about what they’re seeing

My palms are shredded from my aerial hoop training - today we practiced rolling forward from a cuddle to hanging on hands and one knee

Very very fun! #circustraining #circus #lyra #aerialhoop

Practice changing your "we should do this" into a list of tasks and asks.

"To make this happen, we need to do XYZ. I will do X. Who can do Y?"

I've watched too many great ideas languish in organizing convos bc they stay framed as suggestions even when everyone agrees they should happen.

As an actual clown, I do not claim him lmao

I think people think our rage is hateful. This is love.

Love for myself and others. This rage is the anger of someone who wants no more people to get hurt.

Its not petty.

Let people be upset!

The impulse is to soothe, to reassure, to calm, to fix.

Tbh I think this encourages people to learn “freeze” as their default “fight/flight/freeze” response.

How do we instead make room for big emotions? How do we help people channel them? How do we collectively un-freeze?

I think there are a bunch of people who think telling people how to say things is activism. We have to not be so damned precious about the exact words and just start loudly agreeing with each other. Yes - and. Less theatre criticism, more movement building,

The second person to do something is as important as the first.

When one person is dancing alone, they might look crazy. When a second person joins, suddenly dancing is a communal activity that everyone wants to join.

An excerpt from a book written by an ordinary German citizen about the rise of Nazism.
One of they biggest factors was *uncertainty,* and not wanting to look crazy.
We need to be certain. Insist on talking about it. Cite sources. Document everything. Print them out and distribute them, even.

i think also the primacy of national politics in political discourse has maybe led people to forget that governance is very decentralized and the federal government does not control the states and has limited enforcement power over them

Reminder: They're trying to demoralize you, and they're doing a great job of it. Part of resisting is making time for joy despite the attempts to make you feel this is not the time for it. Love your people. Dig the art that speaks to you. Go to the places where life flows into you. You deserve joy.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
