If you’re wondering why AEW is persisting with the current world title story, maybe these worldwide 90 day results from Google trends might help. Cope would be comfortably in second if included too. Like it or not, the old guard are bringing eyes onto the product and benefitting everyone involved
I'd love to get into whatever app or groupchat lays out the anti AEW sentiments. Today's main talking point appears to be TK buying ROH & the AEW relationship with NJPW is just as bad as what WWE does to other promotions. There are too many different voices saying the same thing for it not to be fed

First time I've not watched Mania in years and by the sounds I'm glad I didn't. Even more thankful for AEW and how spoiled we are!

The WWE Wrestlemania week gifts to Tony & AEW just keep on coming. Turns out the "independent" criticisms of Konnan and the sudden attitude of the Lucha Bros had an alternative explanation all along. Tapping up once again. And Tony never had to bite or even acknowledge. The PR masterclass continues

AEW is far from morally pure or perfect but literally this week it had a promo package about a queer wrestler as THE PRIDE OF PRO WRESTLING and the women's world champ was on TV standing in front of a giant trans flag.

Pretending that's the same as WWE going all in on Trump is absurd.

Hey, as someone who finally had the straw break the camel's back after years of making excuses to keep watching it.

Stop watching WWE

There's a million reasons but hey, right here, cannot get cleared than this. It's a Pro-Trump company on a top level. It's Twitter with suplexes. Leave.
Donald Trump was presented with the Ula Fala by a White House official.

I'm excited for Nick Wayne and I hope he's going to spend most of his time in ROH for a little while. He needs to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond to develop further imho. I might even put him on a trajectory for the ROH world title before returning full time to AEW

Praising Trump publicly when you have dates in Europe coming up later that year is certainly an interesting business strategy #wrestlesky

Well Tony's not f**king about. What an episode of AEW Dynamite!

You won't see any better matches this weekend than Mercedes Athena or Ospreay Takeshita #Wrestlesky

Nick Khan drawing attention to AEW during his promotion's biggest week, might be the greatest tribute to Eric Biscoff ever made.

And what a day to do it.

I'm suspecting we may be getting an NXT Japan announcement this weekend. I hope I'm wrong but i fear thats what this is all about. #wrestlesky

Speedball Make Bailey confuses me. How can you be that cool and badass, while also looking exactly like Cletus the slack jawed yokel?? #AEW #Wrestlesky

A thought occurred to me regarding this recent trend of intergender physical contact in AEW..

Is Tony doing this so when he brings Nyla back to the fold & the current US administration inevitably wades in regarding "male on female" violence, they can argue discrimination if legal action is taken?

Dave Meltzer made a great point today: there are more jobs in wrestling, wrestlers have never made more or worked less than now.

I would add, THAT'S why AEW is so important.

It's also why WWE wants to get rid of AEW: so it can lower wages and have much more individual leverage over talent.

I'm particularly enjoying the story behind Kenny Omega's AEW return. He's out to settle scores and I'm here for it

Jon Moxley's character is all about reminding AEW what AEW was supposed to be about... By being what it's not. By being the old timer that cuts the leg off of the young promising talent. By being "The one and only way this business has ever been and should ever be". Essentially reminding the >>

Oh shit it just occurred to me that Cope vs Mox at Revolution wasn't a bad match... it was a WWE match. Nice and clean with no bloodshed and an attempted title shot cash-in for drama at the end.

They're what the Revolution is fighting against.

I do have to say there hasn't been enough talk about the absolute Highlight of AEW dynasty.

We need to talk about Speedball's Karate Kid arc
April 7, 2025 at 6:08 PM
I'm sort of over the Deathriders now but regardless of that the story has needed a big twist involving someone with power in the company for a while now. So.. rather them than Kenny. It was arguably the weakest AEW PPV in some time.. yet was still loaded with quality matches and great moments

Yesterday's Dynamite has been great for identifying people who post about AEW but are either not really invested or don't actually watch the show.à

Anyone who watched to the end knows there is only one talking point and it is the uttering of just 2 words

Took a shower after Dynamite.

Went to bed.

Woke up.

Showered, got dressed for work.

Got to work.

But my mind is still here - they got me all kinds of messed up this morning.

Hangman and Swerve both display not only an unprecedented understanding of their own character but a willingness to be vulnerable on screen. They can be angry, depressed, screwed up, wrong, AND also eventually admit it. When you are this skilled, wins & losses are tools not results.

Lets be honest.. @swerveconfident.bsky.social is a damned money tree. Two words to Hangman and the badass laughter to close out the show, and you're reminded why he's one of the best storytellers the business will ever see.
