You'd be amazed who ends up supporting & protecting perpetrators in cases like this. To the point where survivors are ostracised by friends, family & colleagues as they allow lies & misinformation to spread & question their mental state. Speaking up, so often, has the opposite effect you'd expect.
That they have lived with this trauma & pain for so long is truly heartbreaking. How anyone can support protecting the perpetrators any longer is hard to believe & a complete disgrace!
