100 days in and we’re just getting warmed up.

We launched this campaign rooted in purpose—to protect what matters, serve the people, and unify Michigan.

Thank you for walking with me.

Thank you to UA Local 85 for the warm welcome and for allowing me to share my platform last week!

I’ll always stand shoulder to shoulder with the men and women who built this state. And as your governor, I will continue the fight to ensure labor always has a seat at the table.

Second chances are crucial.

Yesterday, I spoke at the Unite to Face Addiction rally, where I met a father and daughter who graduated from our IGNITE program together. Side by side, they worked to reclaim their lives and build a new future.

I do this for Michiganders like them.

What a busy three months it’s been. Our campaign is growing, our coalition is building, and the energy is only getting stronger. This is just the beginning.

Let’s keep walking–together!

One of the pillars of my campaign is to protect, and that includes our four-legged friends.

Last weekend, I stopped in Utica for their Puppy Parade, which celebrated National Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. At this parade, I met survivors like Gideon and Bindi.

The coalition we’re building is rooted in unity, listening, and delivering results for every corner of Michigan.

This afternoon, I drove down to Monroe to speak with their county Democratic chapter about my campaign for Governor.

Thanks for having me!

Michigan is looking for someone who is a fighter, one who won’t back down, and understands their needs.

My time in law enforcement has pushed me to be that leader. I’ve fought for my community, and now I’m ready to bring that passion to the rest of the state.

Efforts to overturn fundamental rights, silence classrooms, or control who gets to vote in fair elections will not protect democracy. That’s an attack.

I’m running to serve every person in Michigan, not just a party or an ideology.

We deserve leadership that protects our rights and strengthens our families.

That’s the future I’m fighting for.
April 23, 2025 at 7:31 PM
I am no stranger to working with people from both parties for the good of the people—whether it’s bringing people together, keeping our communities safe, or spearheading initiatives.
April 23, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Happy Earth Day! Today has me reflecting on Michigan’s natural beauty and the importance of protecting it at all costs.

Protecting our people means we need to protect our planet. We need leaders who will show up, speak out, and act.

Grounded in humility and compassion for all people, Pope Francis showed the world what true leadership looks like. His commitment to lifting the broken wasn’t just faith in action—it was a blueprint for humanity.

Today, we honor his legacy of service, grace, and unity.

Everything rises and falls on education. Pre-K to job training, we must invest in our schools and empower students to succeed.

I’ve taught 3 generations of students—now I’m ready to fight for every classroom in Michigan.
April 21, 2025 at 4:23 PM
Wishing a happy Easter to all those who celebrate—from my family to yours.

I started I.G.N.I.T.E. to give people real tools to rewrite their story, and Jelly Roll is a great example of what's possible when that happens.

Thank you for the kind words, brother.
April 9, 2025 at 11:53 PM
I was honored to have Jelly Roll join me at Oxford University for the @worldliteracy.bsky.social Summit today.

His story of redemption proves that programs like I.G.N.I.T.E. can make positive change. Together, we’re shining a global spotlight on the power of second chances through literacy.
April 8, 2025 at 7:01 PM
From Flint to Oxford – I’m taking I.G.N.I.T.E to the global stage!

This week, I will join literacy specialists from all over at the World Literacy Summit to present how our program has changed lives for the better.

Stay tuned, you won't want to miss it. 👀

Efforts to privatize postal services will disrupt good union jobs, fair wages, and the service millions of Americans rely on.

But @apwu.bsky.social isn’t backing down. Thankful I got to stand with them on the picket line this weekend. #solidarity

Unity is the way forward.

Michigan, let’s fight for our future – together.
April 2, 2025 at 9:58 PM
César Chávez taught us that change happens when we stand together. His legacy lives on through his granddaughter, @julier2022.bsky.social, who ensures that workers are treated with dignity and respect daily.

Today, let’s celebrate his impact and the movement he built. Si, se puede!

Big night for Michigan basketball! Best of luck to Michigan State and @umichbball.bsky.social as they take on the NCAA tournament.

Bring a W back to Michigan! 💪

As a business owner, I saw firsthand what it takes to grow Michigan’s economy. As governor, I’ll fight for small businesses, cut red tape, and create good-paying jobs.

Because when Michigan works, we all win.
