I'll never forget the events of January 6. Too many of us seemed to have forgotten the tragedy when they went to vote this last November. My hope is that in the coming years, America remembers why the peaceful transfer of power is so intricately linked to economic fairness and basic human dignity.

The guy spend a chunk of his childhood in an internment camp because our government thought he might be dangerous because he was of Japanese descent. He was also gay when you were forced to hide it. It’s been much worse for a lot of people in our history. George knows what he’s talking about.

It’s as if there truly are two forms of law and justice, one for everyday people, one for people like Trump.
I grew up thinking America was different in this way, that we are all equal citizens. I think I was just too naive.
