Went to see two films at the London LGBTQ+ Film Festival yesterday. Both trans documentaries by trans directors. One about Venus Xtravaganza (I’m your Venus) and the other (Enigma) about April Ashley and Amanda Lear. Both heart wrenching and fascinating. Can’t recommend them highly enough

We had a pretty good run on Threads. For a while it was such a queer and joyful place. But there are so many right wing and gender critical people on Threads now looking for any trans posts to leave transphobic comments on. It’s starting to feel like Twitter used to.

America is now governed by gangsters, with no morals, no honour, no laws for them. For them it’s all a grift. Everything is about talking more money, more power. And abusing that power. Destroying those they hate. Hating those who don’t bow to them. It’s heartbreaking watching this.

To the cisgendered people out there, it’s important you understand something. Trump targeting trans people has absolutely nothing to do with protecting women and girls. Because there is no evidence to support the claims that we are a threat. This is about Christian Nationalism, white supremacists 🧵

Ok I have a working theory. That all the men coming to say ‘trans women are men’ across our social media are sexually attracted to trans women but so repressed that they can’t say so. They can’t get it up to the thought of us being women. Because they’re not attracted to women. 1/2

The extraordinary trick the media has played is in convincing so many cishet people, who make up 95% of the population, that trans people, who are less than 1%, pose an existential threat to them. When the reality is the exact opposite.

It’s weird starting afresh with a new social network. Just don’t know who to trust. I don’t want to just be in an angry trans bubble. That’s one of the reasons I left Twitter 18 months ago. I don’t want to have all the hate reposted and amplified at me. It caused a mental health crisis last time.

So weight loss drug Mounjaro, invented in 2016 is available on The NHS. It’s impossible to know its long term effects. But apparently it’s safe. yet blockers for trans youth, prescribed safely for 30+ years are apparently not safe because they “don’t know the long term effects”. Explain that
