They say What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas, but I think it's quite the opposite. That city seeps into your core memories, reminding you of all that is beautiful, and all that is tragic about this world.

i’m going to lock myself away in the highest room of the tallest tower. see you later

There are loud lovers and there are silent yearners. There are people who wear their hearts on their mouths, who let love spill out freely, and others who tuck it into the corners of their eyes like a secret.
Some love with words, a touch, and some do it with quietly but so much.

Some from my weekend in Vegas: It shows everything wrong with this world, this country, this culture - all in one tiny spot. Vegas (and certain Americans) hate the poor. This country is a cesspool of stepping on others and trying to trick them into losing their head. It's a truly grotesque place. >>

I’d love to know what the “I’ll be ok, I’m middle class and white” folks are basing that belief on.

There's such a tone of sadness to the CBC reporting right now. Adrienne Arsenault says, “I feel like the whole country, all of us, are getting both a history lesson and a politics lesson and an economics lesson and a lesson in heartache.”

It has been a while since I've had a dream so bad I had to force myself to wake up.

What a pointless bloodbath.

Color me annoyed and horrified and never sleeping again.

I cannot condone that people's babies are dying and there are still people out there who don't care about anyone else. They probably didn't even cry for their own neighbors who lost their children. I know for sure they don't actually give a fuck about anyone's children, from any country.

Gosh, I remember when we had an actual president instead of a loudmouth bully who won't take responsibility for his actions.

The peaceful transfer of power sounds great and all, until it transfers to fascism. Because we know it won’t transfer back to democracy peacefully.

I feel like I am too exhausted to go on. I always thought I'd be a fighter when it comes to revolution, but I don't know if I have any fight left in me. Is any of it worth it anymore?

Poetry bruh:

Finally, my eyes made contact with yours.

It felt like a thousand worlds were created in that eye contact.

I caught my breath and every single tiny blade of grass, molecule of oxygen and drop of water suspended in the air between us.
