Everyday Americans also have identities I think
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25
Pete Buttigieg critiques Democrats for focus on identity
The former U.S. transportation secretary said the Democratic Party should focus more on issues gripping the country, such as health care and housing affordability.

Korea just did it. Brazil did it. Its not hard, it just requires wanting to do it. But powerful people in America just view it as a big country club of pals. No need to be mean to your friends.
Something the US needs to accept too is that without a large-scale correction imposing consequences on a large number of people, the crisis of governance here will continue indefinitely

Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

The one and only time I got called for Jury Duty it was a 3 day selection process for a murder trial while I sat there and read a book while people were interviewed.

Fuckin miserable and absolute pain in the ass dealing with at work, since I assume for most people it's only a day.
Jury duty should be paid to the employee by the employer as the fact of doing business in this country.

ANY employer, for ANY employee. And replace actual take-home, so service industry people who rely on tips get the full compensation.

It would be easy adding the code into payroll like PTO is.

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

LBJ knew Nixon committed treason and did nothing.
At any other point in American history, he would be pulled from office and brought up on criminal charges.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

I think liberals need to prepare themselves for a future without Donald trump and how sick republicans are even without their slovenly devotion to him. Mike Johnson gets phone alerts when his son masturbates. These are not normal people, they’re hardcore sickos the lot of them.

You do kinda have to wonder what would have to happen for the Packers to finally say "Maybe we shouldn't have the worst possible special teams every single year."

They as an organization don't care and are, in fact, committed to being as bad as possible at ST as they can be. Gotta respect it.

House Dems should honestly be beating Senate Dems in the street with bats. Publicly.
Honestly curious whether the House Dems decision to release this latest bunch of Epstein files is a direct result of the Senate Dems absolutely shitting the bed

Not enough people call these people what they are: which is very very weird losers.
Hegseth: "We don't need to be a military of beardos anymore. Do you know how many troops claim to be Nordic Pagan? No, suddenly it's become this real fake religious affiliation inside the Pentagon where troops came to be Nordic Pagan so they can grow a beard and nobody challenges them on it."
