my takeaway from this letter is that glenn youngkin, rector sheridan and their flunkies on the board are deeply dishonest people who are engaged, with the trump administration, in a mob-style shakedown against the university of virginia

As I read this post, it dawned on me how it feels like so many candidates appear to hold most of their potential constituents in profound contempt, to the point where someone meeting what should be a bare-minimum requirement feels like a glorious exception, a reprieve even
I’ve been talking to friends about some of the things that made Mamdani’s campaign feel unusual to me (*aside* from the policies he was promoting), and I kept coming back to the fact that he seems to really like the city and like the people and enjoy being among them. (1/3)
