This twitch partner account called "MAURI" has been going around on every VTuber chat and saying "hi".
What's wrong? They're a bot!
And not just that, he only re-stream their VODs and his tracker is very sus to say the least (alt text)...
So feel free to ban and report ~

He always says the same kinds of things: - Hey @streamer - How are you doing? - Love the stream He never replies back or follows anyone. Followers and hours watched graphs for the twitch streamer account "MAURI", on twitch tracker. It shows random peaks on viwership and new followers, even tho his hours streamed didnt really increase in the same periods. It implies that he bought followers and viewers. RNG ROGUE RUMBLE TOMORROW WOO 💖

I'll be doing a 10-12 hour stream that I am calling "RNG Rogue Rumble"! I have 25 Roguelikes of varying genres on a wheel that I will be spinning to dictate what I play, and I get one attempt at the game it lands on to try and beat it, seeing how many I can beat within the time limit! I will be taking breaks every so often throughout the stream (this is a light-hearted challenge after all!), but I will be actively playing games for a good 10 hours. The general rules of the challenge are as follows: • Each game is randomly selected via the wheel, and I get one attempt to beat it. Win or lose, it is removed from the wheel. • If a "Victory" screen is seen at any point: It is considered a Win and I move onto the next game, regardless of if the run could be progressed further. • If a "Defeat" screen is seen at any point: It is considered a Loss and I move onto the next game, and gift a random Twitch Sub to chat. • If the game features multiple difficulties: I am not allowed to play on the easiest, but may play on any other of my choosing. • If anything can be randomised via a simple input (like selecting random character, weapon, level, etc): I must choose the random option, otherwise I may choose freely. I'll be starting games pretty soon into the stream, so if you don't want to miss any action then make sure to swing by as soon as possible! I can't wait to have some great random fun with you all tomorrow! See you all then!

Twitch finally admitted their anti-bot system is negatively impacting authentic view counts, alongside a bunch of other bizarre choices for what makes you count as a viewer. We were all right to complain.

These past few months my average viewership has dropped from 300+ to 150.
