The more aware Californians are in reporting hate, the more we can understand how it impacts our communities. That's why, in May, 200+ #StoptheHateCA partners met with 92% of the California State Legislature.

We applaud @governor.ca.gov & the CA State Legislature for creating the Stop the Hate program in 2021. With hate rising and anti-hate work losing federal funding, Stop the Hate is the protection for our diverse communities, and helps keep CA a place where all people can still belong and feel safe.

After facing severe stalking, Kane, a transgender man, had to move to out of state ➡️

Fearing the harassment would follow him, Kane reached out to The LGBTQ Center Long Beach, who helped him legally change his name and gender, and addressed his anxiety to ensure Kane felt at home in a new place.
