I’d only add that this is the most important impact. The others are a bonus.
The biggest endorsement I can make for Bluesky is that replacing Twitter with this app on my phone probably improved my general mood when I’m on my phone by 20-25%. I know there are better reasons but it is what it is!

When clients are trying to tame their perfectionism, they often fear they won’t do excellent work.

I ask, can you replace working from fear and unworthiness with working for love and pride in the impact?

Excellence doesn’t require self immolation.

Strongly endorse this. 🙏
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

The highest compliment from someone who disagrees with you is not “You were right.” It’s “You made me think.”

Good arguments help us recognize complexity where we once saw simplicity.

The ultimate purpose of debate is not to produce consensus. It’s to promote critical thinking.

Personality is how you respond on a typical day. Character is how you show up on a hard day.

It's easy to demonstrate fairness, integrity, and generosity when things are going well.

The real question is whether you stand by those values when the deck is stacked against you.

Good time of the year to consider starting a gratitude practice. Sincere thanks make a positive difference for others.

As a bonus, if you practice regularly, gratitude improves your happiness and modifies your mindset. Let me know if I can help.

A big misconception is that you need to be motivated to get rolling.

You don't.

Research: Motivation often FOLLOWS action, not the other way around.

In Practice: You don't need to feel good to get going; you need to get going to give yourself a chance at feeling good.

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me.

I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc
