The solution to this relative age effect in educational settings is mixed-age classrooms.
I've been researching relative age effects (RAEs) for 25 years & I've never come across a dataset which so perfectly illustrates the month-of-birth systemic discrimination which adversely affects the life trajectories of children as the Department for Education's phonics screening dataset.

As the sun goes down on the 5th anniversary of Brexit Day this is how far we haven't progressed.
HMG debt is being shunned, the FTSE has gained only 13% in value & sterling has lost 5 cents against the dollar.
Brexit is a tragedy & it's time for Downing Street to acknowledge it.
