60 years ago tomorrow (on the Jewish calendar): Sandy Koufax sits out Game One of the World Series because of Yom Kippur. Koufax lost Game Two, yielding two runs (one earned) in six innings. He pitched a shutout in Game Five and another complete game shutout on two days rest in Game Seven to clinch.

It’s really wild that Fox is calling Newsom’s tweets immature and unbecoming of a leader when he’s literally just mocking the way Trump tweets. 🤣🤣🤣

“The Trump regime has taken aim at the weather and climate messengers, but everyone will suffer as a result.” — my latest column for @thebulletin.org thebulletin.org/2025/04/when...
When scientists and weather forecasters are targeted, everyone loses
A National Weather Service with insufficient data and an exhausted and demoralized staff will struggle to keep up with the documented increases in climate-fueled weather extremes.

DOJ leadership has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with 1 hour to decide who will dismiss Adams indictment or else all will be fired. Sending them strength to stand by their oath, which is to support the Constitution, not the president’s political agenda. 🇺🇸

In January 20, 1961, the temperature at noon was 22 degrees and 8 inches of snow had fallen in the morning.

John F. Kennedy still had his inauguration on the steps of the Capitol.

The climb down from those campaign promises and his proposed appointments for a minion cabinet are exactly what he is trying to distract the public (via the media) from. The more air these ideas get, the less air is left for the failures to deliver on his promises and the cabinet nominees.

In the most basic terms, Assad fell because:

Russia overcommitted to Ukraine and lacked the mobility to quickly respond to the rebel’s offensive.

Iran overcommitted to Israel and lost significant operational capability in Syria as a result.

Assad was always weak without someone to prop him up.
