If you're not writing your long book what are you even doing. It's the summer of writing your long book, not the summer of experiencing happiness
I'm going to tell you exactly how to write a book. Do you see that impenetrable brick wall ahead of you? You're going to ram your head into it until long book is long.

Oh there was also the time I saw Lil Wayne and a bunch of dudes at a theather in New Orleans. He was walking into an Amy Schumer movie.

At an informal wake/memorial for someone on my husband's side. Martin Sheen is there. He introduces himself to us, then to my toddler. Instead of shaking his hand, my kid just picks his nose. Martin laughs and says "Well, I can see you're busy."

Las Vegas circa 1993, walking through the MGM Grand. I'm not paying attention because I'm 7 and I nearly knock Rodney Dangerfield and a very tall, very beautiful blond woman over. I have no idea who he is, but my dad is mortified.

The humanities are important because without them we have generations of people who are entirely incapable of actually reading an email before they respond to it.
