This was a fun way to start 2025. I love talking about one of the best space opera stories ever.
Before leading Stargate Command and having a starship named in his honor, General Hammond managed an All American Girls Professional Baseball team where he met President Whitmore then went on to help form the USA 1980 Miracle team where he met lifelong friend Col Jack O’Neill.

While the New Glenn scrub tonight is understandable for any launch system attempting its first flight, @blueoriginai.bsky.social communication of issues encountered was underwhelming considering the public impact through airspace and maritime closures.

Both New Glenn and Starship are in their launch mounts tonight. The two biggest rockets on the planet. I'm not sure the world has ever seen anything like it.

I used part of my holiday down-time to catch a few streaming series: Silo, What If..., Skeleton Crew, and Landman.
They were all a ton of fun and entertaining. If you haven't seen one give it a try and let me know what you think.

As of my latest information right now New Glenn is scheduled for a launch attempt on January 10th, 2025 and Starship Flight 7 is scheduled NET January 13th.
