JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police said he tried to break into an apartment on Arch Street while already on probation. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded around 8:41 p.m. Nov. 11, to an apartment at the 1700 block of Arch Street for a report of an attempted break-in. The alleged victim told officers that when he returned home, a suspect with a bicycle pulling a trailer was standing in front of his apartment, later identified as Terry Henson.

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man was arrested this week on multiple felony charges after police said he was recorded making death threats and later found with illegal drugs at his home. According to a probable cause affidavit, Lonnie R. Cole Jr., 36, was the subject of two separate incidents reported on Nov. 11 in which he was recorded threatening to kill others.

JONESBORO — A Marion man is facing several felony charges after police said he severely beat a woman during a domestic assault earlier this month while her young child was nearby. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were dispatched Nov. 8 to the 3400 block of Sun Avenue for a report of domestic battery that had already occurred.

JONESBORO — A Jonesboro woman is facing multiple charges after police said she was found behind the wheel while intoxicated, with an open bottle of vodka in her car. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway with its emergency flashers on near the intersection of Ferrell and West Matthews on Nov.

CORNING — A pedestrian was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 62 East near Victory Lake Road. According to Corning Police Chief Blaine McClung, the incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Nov. 10. Officers from the Corning Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, and Arkansas State Police responded to the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Clay County coroner was notified. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity. Chief McClung said additional information will be made available at a later date as the investigation continues.

JONESBORO – A donation of $47,000 was made Friday by the Arkansas Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (ARDAR) to the Veterans’ Cottages. JONESBORO – Students across campus at Arkansas State University have different methods of getting to classes. Some walk, others use a bicycle, and some use a scooter. Unlike the first two options, scooters require charging. To make that easier and safer for students, the university team has added 10 new solar chargers to campus this week. “The university recognized a large uptick in the use of electric scooters on campus,” said Melissa Dooley, director of the Department of Environmental, Health and Safety.

MARIANNA, Ark. — The Marianna Police Department (MPD) has asked the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to investigate a homicide that occurred on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the corner of Alabama and Chestnuts streets. The MPD received multiple 911 calls at about 12:44 a.m., reporting a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store located at the intersection.

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University has announced the establishment of the Carvell Family Endowed Scholarship, a $25,000 fund created to support and encourage first-generation college students attending Arkansas State University. The annual scholarship award will be funded through interest generated from the endowment. It is designed to support full-time, on-campus students who demonstrate financial need. First preference will be given to first-generation college students.

JONESBORO, Ark. — Jonesboro police arrested 33-year-old Jeremy Delvridge on November 1, 2025. The arrest comes following an incident with an ex in which Delridge is accused of breaking into her home and threatening her at gunpoint, even firing off shots from the alleged victim’s own weapon. The victim recounted the incident in an interview with NEA Report. “It was a little bit before midnight, and I was asleep in my bed, and I woke up to someone banging on my window,” the victim recalled.

JONESBORO, Ark. — A large fight broke out Wednesday at Walmart on Highland Drive in Jonesboro, but no one was arrested in the aftermath, according to police. JPD responded at 5:19 PM to Walmart on Highland Drive in Jonesboro after a caller said 15 people were fighting in the store. Some of those fighting were talking about guns, the 911 call said.

POINSETT COUNTY, Ark. — A former Memphis Grizzlies player was arrested Wednesday after deputies reportedly found cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Interstate 555. According to the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a silver car near Mile Marker 18 on Nov. 5. The driver was identified as William Hatton, 33, and the passenger as Tony Allen, 43, both of Memphis.

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A suspect is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after police say he fled from officers on a motorcycle, crashed, and then ran into the woods before being captured in Paragould. The probable cause affidavit from the Paragould Police Department says officers were dispatched on Nov. 1 to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Wedgewood Drive. One of the individuals involved, identified as 45-year-old William “Joe” Thompson, reportedly fled the scene on a green motorcycle before police arrived.
