JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police said he tried to break into an apartment on Arch Street while already on probation. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded around 8:41 p.m. Nov. 11, to an apartment at the 1700 block of Arch Street for a report of an attempted break-in. The alleged victim told officers that when he returned home, a suspect with a bicycle pulling a trailer was standing in front of his apartment, later identified as Terry Henson.

CORNING — A pedestrian was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 62 East near Victory Lake Road. According to Corning Police Chief Blaine McClung, the incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Nov. 10. Officers from the Corning Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, and Arkansas State Police responded to the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Clay County coroner was notified. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity. Chief McClung said additional information will be made available at a later date as the investigation continues.

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A suspect is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after police say he fled from officers on a motorcycle, crashed, and then ran into the woods before being captured in Paragould. The probable cause affidavit from the Paragould Police Department says officers were dispatched on Nov. 1 to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Wedgewood Drive. One of the individuals involved, identified as 45-year-old William “Joe” Thompson, reportedly fled the scene on a green motorcycle before police arrived.
