My question is: is there something different with the NBA video rights? Like, is it in their CBA that it's fair use, or are they just less aggressive than other leagues in pursuing takedowns of unauthorized use?

I have a weird legal/copyright question. I've watched a few "best year in sports" type videos on YouTube out of boredom, and I've noticed that NBA video clips are abundant, whereas content creators will use stills or cell phone video to illustrate key moments.

I would think that would involve some sort of scenario wherein Jason Kidd gets all of these guys in line once they're healthy and makes a playoff push. For that, he would deserve COTY honors.
