I finally got my Cava flower to bloom. The seed was planted back in the pandemic when a class reunion did a virtual wine tasting and I discovered I liked the Rondel Brut, which comes in the blue bottle.
Cobalt blue bottles are attached to a metal frame with pipe clamps and old bike parts to form a giant flowers

Spring, where I can have the fire going AND the door to the screen porch open on a rainy Sunday morning.
There are three cats curled up in a line leading towards the glowing logs in the fireplace. Through the windows there is just a glimpse of the creeping phlox in bloom on a grey and rainy day.

All but 2 of the cats have forgiven me for going on vacation with my brother's family and their dog.

Walked down to the quiet dune lake to watch the sunrise.
A broken beach fence is buried in the sand. The wire that once held the wooden slats forms a series of decreasing arches. There is a faint bit of color in the sky above the ocean.
