Dave Cockrum was with no hyperbole whatsoever one of the best character designers to ever work in superhero comics. His sense of style holds up today with many designs like Phoenix, Nightcrawler and Storm being all-time classics.

That’s definitely my biggest issue is that it’s retroactive and not an actual reflection of what they had going on in the books
Seen people defending this scene on The Other App™. The biggest issue with this isn't what MJ says; it's that it paints a picture that didn't exist. Peter and MJ's arguments never looked like this. Bickering about "being out late" just wasn't what those books were concerned with, for better or worse

I think more people should confront the fact that Bruce Wayne--and most of the Batman supporting cast--more than likely have south New Jersey accents due to Gotham being right by Atlantic City, canonically
