I'm sure you didn't mean to, but this episode of your podcast reminded why I hate quit Enterprise back in the day. OH? Am I the only one who hears George W Bush every single time Trip (TTTIII???) opens his mouth? Meh. And the alt sexualities? Banish the thought for any non-heteronormative rep in ST.
Coming up on the next chilling episode of It's Got Star Trek, we join Trip and Malcolm on a tragedy-induced journey of personal discovery in "Shuttlepod One" - available this Monday wherever podcasts about two fellows trapped in a confined space are distributed! 🖖🥶😠🍑🥰

The landlady finally sent a minion to deal with the chirping fire alarm (which amazingly hadn't completely destroyed my nerves 7 days in) but now I need to block out the sport whistle being blown next door (basketball? volleyball? ugh, this is why I hate sports) www.youtube.com/watch?v=uclf...

My brain doesn't do math (it's a real basis for why I selected librarianship as a profession), so when my eyes glance across this, my entire being is in a world of pain...

And yet... and yet... Hahahahahaha!

For this reason, the Gates memo presupposes a false dichotomy regarding climate outcomes: The choice we are faced with is not between "good for us" & "the end of the world," but instead how much harm we are willing to tolerate, and endure, in the years to come. [8/n]

Last year I didn't finish the McSweeney's Advent Calendar until this year (I really pushed to make it a real Christmas in July type thing but never posted about it). So this year I think I'll start early and hope I'm not bored with Christmas before December whatever.

In the middle of watching Weapons I get all the alerts of a missing 12 year old child in my neighborhood 😱. I'm not yet sure how the movie ends but I'm extremely relieved here in real life that I got all the subsequent messages that the child was found.

Saw Kaytranada and Justice in Oakland last night. Original tickets had an obstructed view so we got reseated to much better seats (lol, so my photos were 10% less shitty 😆).

My Fringe re-watch feels like its winding down - we started season 5 already! But in a most unexpected hmmmmm moment, I'm wondering if that was a Longaberger basket in s5e2??? 🤔🧐

Hard to see the passing of such a wonderful voice in the Star Trek fandom. I'll miss her insight and brightness she brought to everything she did. 🖖

Recently I asked my coworker - the music librarian! - what their fav music movie is... LOL, they immediately dodged my question and asked what MY favorite music movie is. Without missing a beat I said Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Sure sure sure there are troublesome bits, nonetheless - FUN!

Maybe actually sign those bills on your desk specifically focusing on trans protections too while you're there.
The Trump Administration’s removal of LGBTQ suicide prevention programs this summer was a disgrace.

I just signed legislation requiring student ID cards in public middle schools, high schools, and colleges to include the Trevor Project’s crisis and suicide prevention hotline.

Not knowing the name of the group behind Obsession was just one of the reasons why my trivia team came in third yesterday. Now I can't get the song out of my head and the video has seared itself into my brain 🤣 m.youtube.com/watch?v=hIs5...

I know zero people outside my immediate family who watched Canada's Red Green Show. So let me just be the whisper in the wind to say, Graham Greene playing a demolition expert on that show was a highlight of his acting career. RIP www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lyf...

Read (heh, "read") a second wave of Ed Ruscha artists' books today. I didn't realize my library had them because instead of classifying them into photography, they were classified by subject be photographed 😭🤣🤨
