Finally figured out how to eat hachiya persimmons from my backyard tree... you have to let them ripen on the counter until they're like a balloon about to burst. Then delicious, just spoon out the flesh!

Bay Area tsunami warning area seems to have been overly large compared to the actual risk area. Great article from KQED in 2017 on a simulation that shows the relative protectedness of the Bay from even a tsunami much larger than has ever been recorded:

since WhatsApp has so much group spam that people turn off the ability to be added to groups and Signal is too niche, RCS is our only cross platform group chat hope
