Caught up with Kat today who was pretty much the first person I interviewed for the book - it was nice to hear what she’s done since 2022! (This is why I’m having to get this finished asap - I can’t believe I started working on the project that long ago!)

Still got those 5-6 interviews left to sort out…. Proving a challenge to coordinate with people and get them set up, plus rail engineering works not helping the situation.
In the last couple of weeks I’ve got another seven interviews done for the book. It’s been interesting and tiring but glad to feel like I’m making progress at last. Only got 5-6 more to do and then I’ll be able to start actually putting the content together!

The Hidden Tracks was released today and is definitely worth a watch! Anna cycled almost 500 miles over ten days to record four sessions and interviews with musicians in outdoor locations. The film documents her journey and the challenges faced by grassroots music scenes.

The book is happening…
While I’ve not even thought about how I’ll get it published, I’ve done around 20 interviews so far and got some more lined up - definitely making progress! 💕
Finally edited my photos of Pleasure Centre (Decolonise Fest, Wharf Chambers, Leeds - 5 April). I interviewed a couple of the event organisers and singer Aneela for my @sowhichband.bsky.social follow up project too 🙌

New link to buy/rent the documentary, for anyone who wants to watch it but doesn't want to give their money to Amazon: sowhichband.vhx.tv

It's not 'Vimeo on Demand' - but powered by Vimeo. Hopefully it works - tell me if you encounter any problems though as I've not used this service before.
