The con is on.

The Cook govt is so captured by fossil methane gas that it’s prepared to doctor and lie in its own reports.

It’s LYING to its *own citizens* to benefit the toxic fossil gas industry that gets its gas for free & pays little in taxes…

This is totally unacceptable.

Criminal.

Advance launched a campaign to force all Coalition politicians to abandon Australia’s bipartisan commitment to the UN Paris Agreement and net zero by 2050.

“Dump net zero, or we’ll dump you.” In the past week Liberal MPs were bombarded with intimidating emails.

Hey!! Here's my new piece for The New Republic!!

It's about how Meta is cramming generative video slop (the most energy-intensive of the gen systems) into its massive global advertising engine: a recipe for an order magnitude worsening of its already-huge harms 😱

Gough raised unemployment benefits to their highest level relative to poverty - then Fraser (and his treasurer John Howard) fucked it up as soon as they could.

Hawke/Keating repaired some of the damage... then Howard fucked it up for good

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

Liberal Party Senator Jane Hume says she should have sprung mandatory "return to office" requirements on the public service AFTER being re-elected.
This would be consistent with the party's usual approach of keeping unpopular policies secret until Australians are unable to stop them.

Yes really — the “we asked this guy. He doesn’t actually know jack shit but he’s rich” model of reportage really needs to go
theres a whole category of newstertainment thats gotta go. and its "ask a really rich freak who is also evil and directly stealing from you what hes seen on the computer lately that has made him feel bad." the only -- ONLY -- story about this guy worth exploring is: he is getting rich spying on you

I hope its clearly labelled as imported so people can support local industry, promote Australian jobs and local economy.

What happened, @nytimes.com? Why not stand by your original headline? Because it’s absolutely an accurate representation of this trash conversation.

To publish this at all should be a fireable offense - but to publish it as women’s rights are being decimated is deeply immoral, bordering on evil

It’s not a question.

As long as NYT is asking “Did women ruin the workplace” can they also ask:
•Did men ruin safe workplaces?
•Did men ruin domestic safety?
•Did men ruin public safety?
•Did men ruin global peace?
Or is a clear “YES” to all these questions just too difficult for fragile men to accept—so NYT avoids it?🤔
