Remembering again that time @quantick.bsky.social synthesised a fuckload of acid.
87 years ago, on the 16th of November 1938, LSD was first synthesized by Swiss chemist Albert Hoffman with the goal of obtaining a respiratory and circulatory stimulant with no effect on the uterus. Hoffman also discovered LSD's psychedelic effects in 1943 after accidentally ingesting it. #otd 🗃️

4th August, 1976 an article on Tony Wilson's TV program 'So It Goes'. "...let them have Old Grey Whistle Test and to hell with it,". This TV program is discussed in detail and it's influence on the emergence of Punk in David Nolan's book 'I swear I was there'

Been away to Somerset this week for a short break. Quiet evenings and a Netflix only TV saw us catching up with this. Not too shoddy at all.

The new series of Mandy is fab, and the ice cream van episode is one of the funniest 15 minutes of telly ever. I have had a couple of drinks.

It starts down in Wapping
There ain't no stopping
By-pass Barking and straight through Dagenham
Down to Grays Thurrock
And rather near Basildon
Pitsea, Thundersley, Hadleigh, Leigh-On-Sea
Chalkwell, Prittlewell
Southend's the end
