8/10. A solid little guy with a good gimmick and a strong set of colors. I like how the shell is the brightest part, it makes this lad look toxic and dangerous, which is what you want for an enemy. A charming last bot for Sonic 3!

An early concept of a ‘Sonic 2′ enemy, made by Tom Payne. The Snail does appear in earlier versions of the game, but this appears to sit on a wall, fall down, and then boost away.
