@shaheen.senate.gov you held out this long for this deal? You realize in order to sign up for the ACA and be covered in January the deadline for enrollment is the SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER. You had leverage, and poof it’s gone.

Academic journal papers behind paywalls is a little infuriating, espec. when the author will generally send you a copy if you ask nicely. I don't know what the answer is, maybe open access, but if you want to be an IC/professor you have to be published in one of the big ones which will be paywalled.

So a certain company popular amongst streamers who shall not be named (🔗🌳) who I applied to in October, sent out the typical rejection (with no initial interview) form letter the week of Christmas. May have dodged a bullet on this one…

Someone was nice enough to gift me a new Kindle Paperwhite. Mine was first generation and the battery wasn’t lasting as long and the screen was chipped. The biggest difference for me is there is no page flash. It’s wild. My brain was trained to blink whenever I turned a page.
