@repyassansari.bsky.social Let the shaming begin! 👏 During a shutdown nobody in congress should get paid either. This may force congress to resolve issues instead of forcing gov't workers to work w/out pay! GOP should not have gotten pay since they left DC.
Yassamin Ansari is racking up some good fighting points. The table in front of Johnson’s office, and now this. Keep saying it like it is.

NEW: Dems easily flipped the sheriff's office in Pennsylvania's Bucks County, a big swing county in the Philly suburbs.

So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.

Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:

“You don’t just flip a switch…” —Mike Johnson

It took them less than six months to pass a budget bill that gave billionaires permanent tax breaks and stripped away nearly $1T in Medicaid from Americans and ACA susbsidies.

Also notable — Trump starting issuing tariffs 10 days after being sworn in.
Mike Johnson: "That's the reason the inflation is up, the cost of living is up so high -- because of the policies of the previous administration. Now, we're working to root those policies out and implement our own, but it takes a little time."

Hey MAGA-
Are you cool with our troops having to stand on food bank lines while Trump throws yet another extravagant party in Palm Beach for his wealthy friends?
I personally find this abhorrent.
See article about his lavish party below.
