Early 80s, I left high school too early, but I landed an apprenticeship in an architectural drawing office. Couple of years into that l visited the Science Museum in London & saw a demonstration of computer aided drawing & knew immediately my career choice was as dead as disco.

I was 27, tired of being poor as hell and hated my customer service rep job. I was in my notice period, told a customer I didn't hate it was my last time coming by. He asked what I was going to do next an I said I hadn't a clue. He asked if I ever thought about welding and the rest is history.

Hard to believe our hand-painted shopfront was finished a year ago! Joe nailed it, still looking brand new. We kept the old butcher’s sign underneath, another layer of the street’s history. Now, a new place to meet, chat & discover tees, books, mags & vinyl. Open 12–5pm ✌️
