The larger issue here is that, according to credible public health experts, the UCP govt is imposing an ideological, anti-vax agenda that will undermine public health for many years. A baby needlessly died of measles in Alberta because its mother was unvaccinated. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

If Smith uses the Notwithstanding clause to force the teachers back to work then all unions in Alberta need to stand with the teachers (ATA)

If they don't it will be the end of the union movement in Alberta, and Canada

Just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️

Time to drop some f bombs and talk about the face of gangster fascism.
Gone are the grey uniforms and goose-steps in are the baseball caps and botox.
But the fascist playbook is redefining politics. We need to call it out.
This is my latest.

I have to say in all my years as a journalist, I've never heard a government employee say that a youth should be assaulted for speaking their mind.
At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

It’s…

Telling.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.

This is what happens when justice serves power instead of people.

Banksy’s latest piece shows a judge beating a protester. They rushed to throw up barriers to hide it.

We need this here because it looks a lot like our own Supreme Court vs. the people.

Parents aren’t blaming teachers; they’re blaming Danielle Smith. And they’re right to do so:

Alberta is the richest province in Canada, yet we spend the least per student. That’s not an accident. That’s a choice.

Let's stand with teachers and stand up for public education.
Let's stand with Alberta's teachers.

Albertans have good reason to be angry: their real wages are down 10%, their minimum wage is frozen, their inflation is worst in Canada, their health care's at risk. None of that was caused by the rest of Canada. My take in today's @TorontoStar: www.thestar.com/business/opi.... #cdnecon
