Signal is down possibly because AWS is down. Dunno why, but i thought it was server agnostic and worked on peer to peer. Guess not!

Now it's been on the telly i'm allowed to talk about my crazy day at work yesterday when taylor swift came round, but the harsh reality is I was far more interested in whether lewis capaldi's hilarious c-bomb would make it through the edit unscathed. And it did 😝🎉👍

I understand the demand for something like duck duck go, but who is funding their uk tv ad campaign, and why? Genuine question - helps me understand the direction a service might go in the future.

I do appreciate kit that has been designed with repair in mind... flappy sections that open up for easy access without complete disassembly! Re-capping a noisy power supply board on this vintage Avcom Spectrum Analyser.

As I trundled down Uxbridge Road (W12) I spotted a man in a Rod Stewart mask, wearing a Rod Stewart T-shirt, and holding a Rod Stewart poster out in front of him? I desperately need to know what that poster said. Was he promoting Rod? Or protesting Rod? If you can enlighten me, please do!

I get the benefits but I just fear this is portraying cell-broadcast emergency alerts to be an infallible method, when it isn't, and should be used alongside more traditional methods of dissemination. After all this may end up being a life or death situation!

The government claim that "tens of millions of phones successfully sounded" in the news...Except cell broadcast doesn’t actually report back who got the message and who didn’t. So if it did, or didn't come through on your phone, there’s no way for them to tell!

Yeh yeh vibe coding is a thing, but have you ever tried vibe plumbing? (in all seriousness I'm aware of my limits - enough to be able to diagnose which bit is stopping our hot water - but not enough to apply wrenches to pipes and flood the place! will leave that side of it to a professional!)

Sure the apple fanbois will bleat on about charging current/safety/blah blah but my ipad charger will trickle charge my macbook through the official cable so they are perfectly capable of offering such a facility.
